VANICK GROUP AND FEDEX RECEIVE ‘OUTSTANDING WEB SITE' AWARD FROM WEB MARKETING ASSOCIATION
Collierville, TN – September 27, 2004 – Vanick Group today announced that the application, Marketing Communications Manager, which was designed and developed exclusively for FedEx, has received an "Outstanding Achievement in Website Development" WebAward by the Web Marketing Association (WMA).
The WMA was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and corporate Web development and is the producer of the WebAwards, an annual competition designed to judge corporate Web sites against an Internet standard and against peer sites within their industry.
Marketing Communications Manager allows the FedEx sales force and marketing departments to quickly and effectively communicate with their prospects and customers through multiple channels.
Here are some comments for the individual judges on the website:
"Wow. As a marketing communication professional, I wish I had a site like this to coordinate marketing activities at different units. I liked the clean design and simple functions - very user friendly! This is not a web site, it is an online application!"
"a utilitarian site that doesn't get bogged down in details. could use a bit more content, but considering it's a closed audience probably not as critical. nicely done."
